This collection is bound to be your favorite of all! We have provided 10 different butterflies and dragonflies that are stitched out in a 3D format! This means, the wings are literally coming right at you! You'll love the embroidery details and shadings that create these realistic looking 3D designs. This collection is made by stitching out three simple hoopings:
1. Using a wash-away stabilizer, you will start by creating the Wings of this design. We recommend using a thicker fabric for the wings, like a felt. This helps with keeping the wings sturdy. The embroidery details and shading will be stitched during this time to really bring out the beauty of these insects.
2. Once the wings are stitched out, you'll use tearaway stabilizer and load the body portion of the design. This is were you will attach the wings to the body. The tacking stitches for the wings will be covered at the end and allows for only one portion to be tacked down, which gives the design the 3D look.
3. For this collection, we also include a template that acts as a cover for the bobbin stitches on the back of the butterfly or dragonfly. This is stitched out in only two steps so it is easy to create! Once it is stitched out, you attach it to the butterfly or dragonfly to give the finished design a nice, clean look.
