Diamonds and Pearls - New Release - As seen on the Front Cover of Creative Expressions Downunder Dec 2011.

Over 20 years ago - Denise made a beautiful Cathedral Window Quilt, the original Diamonds & Pearls Quilt; which hangs in our front entrance.

When Denise created the original quilt (wall hanging) in the early 90's – it was at the time when you used a regular sewing machine to put the blocks together to create the cathedral windows, but then you either filled the centers with a plain or printed fabric (and they were usually about 2" square).
Denise decided firstly to make the blocks larger 5-6" square; and then she would hand embroider each block and embellish them with Diamonds and Pearls.

Well the good news is - we have re-created the embroidered blocks for you (there were 39 original blocks in Denise's Original Quilt, (we have created over 100 to choose from on the CD). There is still plenty of hand beading and embellishing that you can do with the blocks, or you could even bling them with Swarovski Hot fix Crystals, however, you won’t get the exact same effect. None the less you will have just as much fun!!!

Denise loves to do most of her work tone on tone – which is why she had chosen Cream Duponi Silk for the quilt, we have created our new blocks and designs using the same technique, tone on tone, however, using gold and copper metallic threads along with fresh water pearls. All these facets make this quilt look absolutely awesome.

This Quilt and Project is not for the faint hearted, there is hours and days of work, and would make a fabulous gift as a Wedding Quilt for someone very special, or just make it for yourself as it is just elegant.

If you have the opportunity to see EME at a Craft Show or In-Store Events, I am sure our actual quilt samples will impress much more than the photo’s. (as it is impossible to have a picture look as good as the actual quilt!).
