The 4 flower files and the leaves file require a 4”x4” hoop, and the bow and banner files require a 5”x7” hoop. The designs are done on stiffened back fabric with a rich satin edge and have an inner heavy fleece filler that gives them stability and a lush texture without the need for using templates. Each design features eyelets that are used to connect the finished pieces with scrap-booking brads. Weaving a heavy gauge wire along the back of the brad-joined pieces to maintain the shape completes the wreath, and you can make it as big or small as you like by adding on more flowers and leaves (my sample is 15¼”x14¼”). Another fun option would be to string the pieces along to make a light-hearted garland. After discussing a wide range of topics and choices we decided on creating a tile scene for the Ascension with Jesus rising to heaven. There are hundreds of reference paintings for the Ascension and instead of showing a complete scene with the apostles, we decided to show only Jesus rising through clouds. The reason for this was that we wanted to add a lot of detail to Jesus and to do this we wanted to make him as large as possible. We added a lot of detail to the face and eyes of Jesus and the design, once it is embroidered looks like a painting.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"product-description\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThis is a nine block tile scene that comes in three different sizes, a small size for the 5’x7” hoop a medium size for the 6’x10” hoop and a large size for the 7”x12” hoop. We added some features into this design; the entire cloud background was created with hand stippling in multiple colors. The stippling is even created with different densities so that the background has a beautiful layered look but doesn’t take away from the image of Jesus.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe tutorial will give you a detailed description of each block in the tile scene as well as a step-by-step guide on assembling the project. We include a master color list and what types of fabric you will need to complete the project. As far as tile scenes go, this one has among the least amount of colors in it and uses the least amount of fabric. The trickiest part of this scene is block 2, which is the face of Jesus. We will give you a detailed step-by-step guide to this block and how each shading color works. We suggest stitching this block first to experiment with your color choices. The collection consists of three different themes with over a dozen designs in each theme. The first theme is cardinals perched on branches of holly berries. The project we created for this theme is a classic denim shirt with two large embroideries on the front of the Cardinal designs. Then we embellished the shirt with crystals to add some glitter! The second theme is a Gingerbread man and house. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"product-description\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eWe created the Gingerbread man, a star, bell and gingerbread house as applique designs and they are stylized to look great on garments. Then we created gold swirls with candy, stars, and Christmas lights for more design choices. We embroidered this group of designs on a denim shirt. The third theme is Santa and his reindeer. This design lines up perfectly across a denim shirt as you can see on our sample. This theme also includes small holly leaves and poinsettias that could be added to the collar or sleeve.
