Building snowmen is one of the most enjoyable snow day activities. Bundled up in your winter best, working together to create a giant snowman complete with button eyes and a carrot nose is surely a favourite pastime. It brings back delightful childhood memories, hopeful that adding a top hat to your snowman creation would magically bring him to life! We tried to encapsulate that feeling with this fun variety of winter snowman scenes just in time for the holidays. We’ve got it all— from groups of carolers, to skiing and skating snowmen, to snowmen sending their letters of holiday greetings. Along with all these frosty characters are little cardinals, bunnies, and reindeer to help get everyone in the mood to play outside in the snow!
The designs are created with our standard appliqué technique, so they are easy and fun to stitch out. By using soft fleece fabric for the snowmen’s bodies and patterned flannel for their coats and scarves, this collection stays toasty warm even when depicting chilly outdoor scenes. Whether stitched out onto throw pillows, stockings, or decorative hand towels, these charming snowmen will make the perfect addition to any farmhouse holiday decor.
