We took inspiration from the beautiful geography of the American Southwest to create this one-of-a-kind quilted blanket, comprised of harlequin-style, diamond-shaped blocks. The rusty tones of the landscape’s canyons and valleys, greens and soft tans of cacti and foliage, and the lovely blues of the sky and turquoise deposits in the mountains make for a striking color palette, sure to evoke all that the Southwestern region has to offer.
Each of the 14 main quilt blocks and 6 additional triangular blocks feature standard appliqué with folded fabric borders. Geometric embroidered designs like stair-stepped diamonds, arrows, and feathers are featured in the center of every block, accompanied by animal motifs and other Southwestern symbols. Use a variety of richly-colored fabrics in an alternating fashion to help create a extraordinary quilt you’ll be proud to display!
