This quilting collection using our shadow work technique is a great way to use up those fabrics in your stash that you can’t ever seem to find a place for in your embroidery projects. Whether it’s a floral print that’s too busy to be used as an appliqué or a patterned fat quarter you have been meaning to use, all sorts of colors and prints are welcome—the brighter, the better!
Shadow Work Shapes includes all 6 of our Mix & Match quilting sizes, allowing you to combine the blocks with any other collection if stitched in a coordinating design size! All of these shadow work blocks are topped with batiste, which is a semi-sheer, cotton fabric that diffuses the colors underneath without completely muting them. The resulting effect of the batiste over vivd fabrics will create beautifully-colored quilt blocks that stitch out quick and look amazing!
