This fun-to-do in-the-hoop project might just do the job! The padded lid features crazy quilt pieces with decorative stitching and an optional eyelet step to attach embellishments if desired. The sides of the lid and the box itself are padded as well and echo the fabrics used on the lid. All edges are finished with a rich satin stitch. The box is a roomy 5¾”x5¾”x4” high, a perfect size for a keepsake ornament or mug or other treasures. OR let the box itself be the gift to be filled by the recipient with mementos. And the best part? All pieces are created and attached in a 6”x10” hoop, and afterward the side seams are quickly joined with standard sewing of zig-zag stitches. Also included is an optional lid with a plain top and optional eyelet.
