Lace is one of the most versatile embroidery projects available.  They can be used alone as doilies and ornaments, or stitched together to make place mats, or centerpieces.  This collection of seasonal favourites is the perfect way to showcase your artistry and embroidery skill.

Each lace design uses stacked layers of organza as a base appliqué, with matching decorative lace stitch work on top.  By matching the bobbin and top thread, you will have a beautiful piece of lace on both sides of the project.  In this tutorial, we will show you how to complete the organza and lace design, and how to create an amazing and sophisticated centerpiece to show off to your holiday guests.  You can use these same techniques to complete all kinds of projects, such as a charger, table protector, or garland.
