For this Anita's Express collection, we have combined your favorite things from Summer time and added a splash of ribbon confetti! In this Learn to - Ribbon Appliqué collection, we teach you step-by-step how to create appliqué pieces using different styles of ribbon confetti. Learn not only how they are created but also popular design layouts to go along with it!
With any of our confetti collections, we teach you how to do this technique using netting to seal in the ribbon pieces. The netting is added in the hoop and will be tacked down to the fabric. After it is trimmed, a satin stitch completes the design and keeps the netting secured! For some of our other confetti collections, we show you how to add fabric pieces and ribbon pieces. For this collection, we wanted to focus on the ribbons! Using 4 different styles; random, herringbone, picnic weave, and stripes to create a unique look.
With this collection, you'll notice raw edges once you have trimmed the netting and ribbons; to fix that, the design will finish with a satin stitch. This will cover up the raw edges and finish the design features!
